Core Values

The Humanitarian Imperative

AAI is committed to prevent and alleviate suffering, to protect life and health (improve the human condition) and to ensuring respect for the human being. It implies a right to receive humanitarian assistance and a right to offer it as fundamental to humanitarian principles.

Impartiality

AAI promotes equal and shared access to our humanitarian aid initiatives to those in need. Every person in need has the right to receive aid and no group is favoured over another.

Neutrality

For AAI to work effectively and focus on those in greatest need, it will remain autonomous and independent. AAI wil not take sides in conflicts and will not favour any political or religious viewpoint. It remains impartial with its assistance and gives directly to those with the greatest need.

Freedom

Freedom is a luxury that we often take for granted in the economically developed world. AAI promotes freedom for all people and the right to make their own decisions in a participative and collaborative way.

Professionalism & Transparency

AAI's adhers to the highest of professional standards. It believes in transparency in its operations and providing full details of its work to donors, staff, beneficiaries and other interested persons.
